RewardsPlus Terms and Conditions
Note: These terms and conditions (the "RewardsPlus Rules") form the basis of the RewardsPlus Program offered by the Marriott Bonvoy® loyalty program (the “Marriott Loyalty Program”) and United MileagePlus® loyalty program (“MileagePlus”). Registration and participation in the RewardsPlus Program will be governed by the RewardsPlus Rules, the "MileagePlus Program Rules" and the "Marriott Loyalty Program Rules" (as such terms are defined below), which are the participant’s responsibility to read and understand. By submitting a registration request for, participating in or availing the benefits of the RewardsPlus Program, participants agree to be bound by the RewardsPlus Rules, the MileagePlus Program Rules and the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules.
General conditions of the RewardsPlus Program
- The RewardsPlus Program, including but not limited to the Status Offering (as defined below) and the Points and Miles Offerings (as defined below), is offered by the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus.
- Miles accrued, awards and benefits issued, including those issued pursuant to the RewardsPlus Program, are subject to change and are subject to the rules ("MileagePlus Program Rules") of the United MileagePlus program, including without limitation the Premier® program, (the "MileagePlus Program"), which are expressly incorporated herein. MileagePlus has the right to terminate the MileagePlus Program or to change the MileagePlus Program Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of miles.
- The RewardsPlus Program is also subject to the terms and conditions of the Marriott Loyalty Program, including without limitation the elite membership program (the "Marriott Loyalty Program Rules"), which are expressly incorporated herein. The Marriott Loyalty Program has the right to terminate the Marriott Loyalty Program or to change, limit, modify or cancel the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of points or miles.
- The Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus have the right to terminate the RewardsPlus Program or to change the RewardsPlus Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice.
- Registration and/or participation in the RewardsPlus Program is subject to compliance with all of the RewardsPlus Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, as applicable, that the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus program may, in their discretion, adopt from time to time, and which the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus have the sole right to interpret and apply. Any failure by the participant to comply with the RewardsPlus Rules, the MileagePlus Program Rules or the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules, or any action or conduct by the participant that is detrimental to the Marriott Loyalty Program and/or MileagePlus may result in the suspension or termination of participation in the RewardsPlus Program.
- All calculations and determinations made in connection with the RewardsPlus Program, including without limitation with respect to the Points and Miles Offerings, accumulation of mileage, points and the satisfaction of the qualification requirements for Premier or Elite status, as applicable, in connection with the RewardsPlus Program, will be made by MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program in their discretion and all such calculations and determinations will be considered final. MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program reserve the right to request further supporting documentation from the member to validate the satisfaction of the Criteria (defined below) but shall have no obligation to do so. MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program reserve the right to revise or reverse their determinations.
- Bonus award miles, award miles, or any other miles earned or otherwise received through the Points and Miles Offerings or any other conversion of Marriott Loyalty Program points through the RewardsPlus Program (or through any other non-flight activity) do not count toward qualification for Premier status in the MileagePlus Program, unless expressly stated otherwise.
- The accumulation of miles, points, RewardsPlus Premier status or any other status does not entitle members to any vested rights with respect to the RewardsPlus Program, the MileagePlus Program or the Marriott Loyalty Programs.
- Achieving higher status levels:
- Members who receive complimentary Premier® Silver status in the MileagePlus Program through the RewardsPlus Program may reach higher Premier status levels, but only by reaching the published qualification requirements as set forth in the MileagePlus Premier program. Premier Silver status in the MileagePlus Program that is granted through the RewardsPlus Program may not be combined, added or stacked with any Premier Qualifying Miles, Premier Qualifying Segments, Premier Qualifying Dollars or other qualification requirements to achieve a higher Premier status level in the MileagePlus Program. - Members who receive complimentary Gold Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program through the RewardsPlus Program may reach higher Elite status levels, but only by reaching the published qualification requirements as set forth in the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules. Gold Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program that is granted through the RewardsPlus Program may not be combined, added or stacked with any elite qualification requirements to achieve a higher Elite status level in the Marriott Loyalty Program. - No miles, points, benefits or awards issued pursuant to the RewardsPlus Program may be transferred, sold, bartered or assigned, except as expressly permitted by the Marriott Loyalty Program and the MileagePlus program.
- By participating in the RewardsPlus Program, members consent to the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus each sharing and receiving MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program member data with and from the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and agents. Such data will be used by the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus in connection with the RewardsPlus Program and will be used individually by the Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus in accordance with their respective privacy policies, which can be found at united.com/web/en-US/content/privacy.aspx and marriott.com/marriott/privacy-us.mi.
- MileagePlus and its subsidiaries, affiliates and agents are not responsible for any products or services of the Marriott Loyalty Program, its corporate parent Marriott International, Inc., or any of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates or agents, or of any other participating companies or partners.
- The Marriott Loyalty Program and its subsidiaries, affiliates and agents are not responsible for any products or services of MileagePlus, its corporate parent United Airlines, Inc., or any of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates or agents, or of any other participating companies or partners.

- Except as otherwise expressly prohibited or limited by applicable laws, Marriott International, Inc. (“the Company”) has the right to change, limit, modify or cancel the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules, Awards and Award levels at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of Points or Miles, or the ability to obtain certain Awards. Partner Programs similarly reserve the right to modify their own programs, which may impact your rights and expected benefits under the Marriott Loyalty Program. The Company and Partner Programs may, among other things: (i) increase or decrease the number of Points or Miles received for a stay or required for an Award; (ii) withdraw, limit, modify or cancel any Award; (iii) add blackout dates, limit rooms available for any Award at any Participating Property or otherwise restrict the continued availability of Awards; (iv) change program benefits, travel partners, locations served by the Company or its travel partners, conditions of participation, rules for earning, redeeming, retaining or forfeiting Points or Miles, or rules governing the use of Awards; (v) change or cancel its travel partner awards. In accumulating Points or Miles, Members may not rely upon the continued availability of any Award or Award level and category. The Company may terminate the Loyalty Program with six (6) months' advance notice to all active Loyalty Members. At the Company’s sole discretion, the Company may choose to substitute a similar loyalty program for the Loyalty Program at any time immediately upon notice to active Loyalty Members. A Member may not accumulate Points or claim Redemption Awards, promotional Awards or Marriott Loyalty Program benefits or amenities after the termination of the Marriott Loyalty Program. If the Marriott Loyalty Program is terminated, all unredeemed Points will be forfeited without any obligation or liability, and no Redemption Award claims or promotional Award claims will be honored after the conclusion of the notice period. The Company may terminate any of the Marriott Loyalty Program in whole or in part, in any jurisdiction on less than six months' notice if required to do so by applicable law. All Marriott Loyalty Program benefits, amenities, offers, awards and services are subject to availability and may be changed at any time without notice.
Eligibility and registration for the RewardsPlus Program status offering
- To participate in the RewardsPlus Program, a participant must be a member of both United MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program.
- To register a request for the complimentary status offerings of the RewardsPlus Program (the "Status Offering"), a participant must meet the following qualification criteria ("Criteria"):
- To register a request for complimentary Gold Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program, a MileagePlus member must hold an active, validated account with either Premier Gold, Premier Platinum or Premier 1K® status in the MileagePlus Program. If so validated by MileagePlus, the member will be able to register to request complimentary Gold Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program through the RewardsPlus Program. MileagePlus members who hold Premier Silver or are general members in the MileagePlus Program are not eligible to register for complimentary Gold Elite status or any other Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program through the RewardsPlus Program. Members who meet the Criteria because of a trial Premier status in MileagePlus, including without limitation a MileagePlus Premier status match challenge program, are not eligible for complimentary status through the RewardsPlus Program. Registration requests from members who otherwise meet the Criteria for complimentary status through the RewardsPlus Program will not receive such status if the member already holds equivalent or higher status in the Marriott Loyalty Program.
- To register a request for complimentary Premier Silver status, a Marriott Loyalty Program member must hold an active, validated account with either Titanium Elite or Ambassador Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program. If so validated by the Marriott Loyalty Program, the Marriott Loyalty Program member will be able to register to receive complimentary MileagePlus Premier Silver status through the RewardsPlus Program. Marriott Loyalty Program members who hold Gold Elite, Silver Elite or no Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program are not eligible to register for complimentary MileagePlus Premier Silver status or any other status in the MileagePlus Program through the RewardsPlus Program. Members who meet the Criteria because of a trial Elite status in the Marriott Loyalty Program, including without limitation a "Taste of Elite" program, are not eligible for complimentary status offerings through the RewardsPlus Program. Registration requests from members who otherwise meet the Criteria for complimentary status offerings through the RewardsPlus Program will not receive such status if the member already holds equivalent or higher status in the MileagePlus Program.
- Completed registrations from members requesting complimentary status through the RewardsPlus Program are subject to review and determination by MileagePlus and/or the Marriott Loyalty Program as to whether the member meets the Criteria, and status from such registration requests are not guaranteed.
- Members who register a request for a complimentary status should allow 7-10 business days for their accounts to reflect the new status, if granted.
- RewardsPlus Program Status Offerings granted to members who meet the Criteria are generally valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which the Status Offering is granted. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Marriott Loyalty Program and the MileagePlus Program reserve the right to determine the validity period of a Status Offering, which may differ from the Premier and Elite programs offered by the MileagePlus Program and the Marriott Loyalty Program, respectively.
- Members of the Marriott Loyalty Program who meet the Criteria for the RewardsPlus Program and who wish to enjoy the benefits of complimentary Premier Silver status with the United MileagePlus program must register their request through RewardsPlus at getrewardsplus.com.
- Members of the MileagePlus Program who meet the Criteria for the RewardsPlus Program and who wish to enjoy the benefits of complimentary Gold Elite status with the Marriott Loyalty Program must register their request through RewardsPlus at getrewardsplus.com.
- The Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus have the right to terminate the Status Offering or to change the Status Offering policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice.
Eligibility for the RewardsPlus Program points and award miles offerings
- To participate in the RewardsPlus Program Points and Miles Offerings (defined below), a participant must be a member of both United MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program.
- Registration for Points and Miles Offerings is not required but may be subject to eligibility criteria, from time to time, as set forth by MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program.
- The RewardsPlus Program may feature, from time to time, a preferred points and miles structure ("Points and Miles Offerings"), which, as of the date hereof, include:
- Premier miles-to-points:
- MileagePlus members who hold an active, validated account with Premier Silver, Premier Gold, Premier Platinum or Premier 1K status in the MileagePlus Program are eligible to convert MileagePlus miles into Marriott Loyalty Program points at a ratio of one (1) mile to one (1) point.
- A maximum of one hundred thousand (100,000) miles, per member, per calendar year may be converted to Marriott Loyalty Program points.
- Conversions require a minimum transfer of five hundred (500) MileagePlus miles.
- "Preferred Conversions": Members of MileagePlus and the Marriott Loyalty Program who choose to convert Marriott Loyalty Program points into MileagePlus miles may receive, from time to time, a bonus of miles in addition to the Marriott Loyalty Program's standard points-to-miles conversion ratios.
- Premier miles-to-points:
- Members engaging in Points and Miles Offerings are required to ensure that the account holder name in both their MileagePlus account and Marriott Loyalty Program account match so that Points and Miles Offerings may post to the account.
- Members should allow six-to-eight (6-8) weeks for miles and/or points to post to accounts.
- Marriott Loyalty Program and MileagePlus have the right to terminate the Points and Miles Offerings or to change the Points and Miles Offerings policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice.
