• 2. What Marriott Bonvoy status levels are offered through the Preferred Partnership Program for JMB Members?

  • For JMB Base Members, the Preferred Partnership Program offers an opportunity, through an accelerator challenge to earn Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status by staying six (6) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from the date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.
    • When Marriott Bonvoy grants Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status to an eligible JMB Base Member as part of the accelerator challenge, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the last Qualifying Night for such member to receive the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the date the member receives the status.

  • For Crystal Members, the Preferred Partnership Program offers an opportunity, through an accelerator challenge to earn Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status by staying four (4) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from the date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.
    • When Marriott Bonvoy grants Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status to an eligible JMB Crystal Member as part of the accelerator challenge, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the last Qualifying Night for such member to receive the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the date the member receives the status.

  • For Sapphire Members:
    • The Preferred Partnership Program offers complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite Status (registration required) per year. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the day of registration.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to participate in the accelerator challenge to receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status by staying ten (10) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.
      • When Marriott Bonvoy grants Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status to an eligible Sapphire Member as part of the accelerator challenge, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the last Qualifying Night for such member to receive the Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the date the member receives the status.

  • For JGC Premier Members:
    • The Preferred Partnership Program offers complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status (registration required) per year. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the day of registration.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to receive 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points by staying sixteen (16) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration per year in the Preferred Partnership Program.

  • For Diamond Members:
    • The Preferred Partnership Program offers complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status (registration required) per year. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the day of registration.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to participate in the accelerator challenge to receive Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status by staying ten (10) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration in the first year of the Preferred Partnership Program.
      • When Marriott Bonvoy grants Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status to an eligible JMB Diamond Member as part of the accelerator challenge, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the last Qualifying Night for such member to receive the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the date the member receives the status.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to receive 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points by staying sixteen (16) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.

  • For Diamond Metal Members:
    • The Preferred Partnership Program offers complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status (registration required) per year. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the day of registration.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to participate in the accelerator challenge to receive Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status by staying ten (10) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.
      • When Marriott Bonvoy grants Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status to an eligible Diamond Metal Member as part of the accelerator challenge, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the last Qualifying Night for such member to receive the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status. The status is valid for at least 12 months from the date the member receives the status.
    • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers an opportunity to receive 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points by staying sixteen (16) Qualifying Nights at a Qualifying Rate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy within a six (6) month period from date of registration and every year in the Preferred Partnership Program.

• 3. Will my Elite Night Credit apply to the accelerator challenges this partnership offers?

  No. Elite Night Credits, including those earned through any Marriott Bonvoy promotion, will not count as Qualifying Nights towards either the Silver, Gold, or Platinum accelerator challenge offered through this Preferred Partnership Program.

• 4. What JMB status levels are offered through the Preferred Partnership Program for Marriott Bonvoy Members?

  For Marriott Bonvoy Base Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 2,000 Fly on Points per year.

  For Marriott Bonvoy Silver Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 5,000 Fly on Points per year.

  For Marriott Bonvoy Gold Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 10,000 Fly on Points per year.

  For Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 20,000 Fly on Points per year.
    • For example, if a Crystal Member who already has 30,000 FLY ON Points registers for the Preferred Partnership Program in December 2026, the member will receive 20,000 FLY ON Points and will become a Sapphire Member immediately after the registration, and the Sapphire status will be valid through March 2028.     • b. For example, if a Crystal Member who has had 30,000 FLY ON Points in 2026 registers for the Preferred Partnership Program in January 2027, the member will receive 20,000 FLY ON Points but remain a JMB Crystal Member status as FLY ON Points which have been provided in 2026 are valid only within that year.   For Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 30,000 Fly on Points per year.
  • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers complimentary Crystal status or above depending on the number of Fly on Points a member already has.
    • When Japan Airlines grants Crystal status or above to an eligible Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Member, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the registration for such member to receive the Crystal status or above.

  For Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Members:

  • The Preferred Partnership Program offers 40,000 Fly on Points per year.
  • The Preferred Partnership Program also offers complimentary JMB Crystal status or above depending on the number of Fly on Points a member already has.
    • When Japan Airlines grants Crystal status or above to an eligible Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Member, please allow up to six (6) weeks following completion of the registration for such member to receive the Crystal status or above.

• 8. Does a customer have to be a member of both JMB and Mariott Bonvoy to participate in the Preferred Partnership Program?

  Yes. Customers can join JMB here and Marriott Bonvoy here.

• 9. Is the Preferred Partnership Program open to all members worldwide?

  Yes. Members of Marriott Bonvoy and JMB, regardless of where they live, can participate in the Preferred Partnership Program if they meet the eligibility requirements for the complimentary status match or accelerator challenge and register for the Preferred Partnership Program.

• 10. How do members register for the Preferred Partnership Program?

  Marriott Bonvoy and JMB members can register here.

  • On this page, members can sign in with their Marriott Bonvoy account number and password. Once logged into their Marriott Bonvoy account, they will be prompted to connect/log into their JMB membership account to link the two accounts.
  • Members must accept the JMB Program Rules and Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules for their registration to be processed.
  • The updated status will be reflected in the member’s JMB and Marriott Bonvoy membership accounts within 6 (six) week for all successful status match registrations.

• 11. Do Marriott Bonvoy Members who receive JMB Crystal status or above through the Preferred Partnership Program have the same benefits as other Crystal Members or above?

  Yes. However, members must meet the criteria each year to be eligible for retention of their complimentary Crystal status or above through the Preferred Partnership Program.

• 12. Do members who receive Marriott Bonvoy Silver, Gold, or Platinum Elite status though the Preferred Partnership Program have the same benefits as other Silver, Gold, and Platinum Elite members?

  Yes. However, members must meet the criteria each year to be eligible for complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver, Gold, and Platinum Elite status through the Preferred Partnership Program.

• 13. Once a Marriott Bonvoy member has complimentary Crystal status or above, can the member reach a higher JMB status?

  Yes, members may achieve higher status by reaching all published qualification requirements as determined by Japan Airlines. For full qualification details, visit here.

• 14. Once a JMB member has complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver, Gold, and Platinum Elite status, can the member reach a higher Marriott Bonvoy Elite status?

• 15. If I already have Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status or higher as well as Crystal status or higher, can I register for the Preferred Partnership Program?

  Members with Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status or higher may register for the Preferred Partnership Program to link their JMB and Marriott Bonvoy accounts on Marriott’s website.

• 16. I am unable to link my JMB account with my Marriott Bonvoy account on the linking page. Why is my Marriott Bonvoy account shown as “Not Linked”?

  Once you click the “add” button, your Marriott Bonvoy account will be added but reflected as “Not linked”. Your JMB and Marriott Bonvoy accounts will be linked after you have successfully registered for status match.

• 17. Can I register for the Preferred Partnership Program more than once?

  An individual may only register for the Preferred Partnership Program and link their Marriott Bonvoy account and JMB account once.

• 18. What if my Marriott Bonvoy Elite status tier gets downgraded or upgraded after registering for JMB status match?

  As long as your Marriott Bonvoy membership status is eligible on the day of registration, any changes to your Marriott Bonvoy Elite status tier thereafter do not affect your eligibility to receive Fly on Points and/or complimentary Crystal status or above during the year.

• 19. What if my JMB status tier gets downgraded or upgraded after registering for Marriott status match, and I am in the midst of fulfilling the requirements for accelerator?

  As long as your JMB status tier is eligible on the day of registration, any changes to your JMB status tier thereafter do not affect your eligibility to be upgraded under the accelerator challenge during the year.

• 20. Can Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members and above use their membership cards to enjoy the benefits of JMB Crystal status and above?

  No. Eligible Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above members who wish to enjoy the benefits of Crystal status and above must register and be confirmed through the Preferred Partnership Program here.

  To enjoy the benefits of Crystal status and above, members must enter their JMB membership number when booking flights with Japan Airlines.

• 21. Can Crystal members and above who already have Marriott Bonvoy Sliver Elite status or higher use their membership certificate at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy to enjoy the benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status and above?

  No. Eligible Crystal members and above who wish to enjoy the benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status must register and be confirmed through the Preferred Partnership Program here. To enjoy Gold Elite benefits, members must enter their Marriott Bonvoy account number when booking stays at Marriott Bonvoy participating properties.

• 22. Will there be limited time promotional offers available for the Marriott Bonvoy and Japan Airlines Preferred Partnership Program?

  Marriott Bonvoy and Japan Airlines may from time to time offer limited time offers to members of the Marriott Bonvoy and Japan Airlines Preferred Partnership Program.

• 23. What hotels brands are participating in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio?

• 24. I have two Marriott Bonvoy accounts and have already status matched with the first one. Can I status match with the second one?

  No. The terms and conditions of the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program require that individuals may only maintain one membership account in Marriott Bonvoy. Please refer to the Marriott website for more information on how to merge your accounts. Please ensure that the account you have already status matched with remains as the active account after the merge.
