• Why is Marriott Bonvoy partnering with Air Canada?

  This Preferred Partnership Program enhances the travel and lifestyle experiences and provides more value for Aeroplan and Marriott Bonvoy members.

• What status levels are offered through this Preferred Partnership Program?

  The Preferred Partnership Program provides members of Marriott Bonvoy and Aeroplan the opportunity to match status and more.

  Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and - Super Elite members receive:

  • Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status (registration required here). The status is valid for at least 12 months. For example, if an eligible Aeroplan member registers for the Preferred Partnership Program in October 2024, then the Aeroplan member will receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status through the end of 2024, all of 2025, and through February 2026. Thereafter, the Aeroplan member will retain their complimentary Gold Elite status under the Preferred Partnership Program with no re-registration required as long as the member maintains their eligible Aeroplan 50K, 75K, or Super Elite status.

  Marriott Bonvoy Titanium and Ambassador Elite members receive:

  • Complimentary Aeroplan 25K status (registration required here). The status is valid for at least 12 months. For example, if an eligible Marriott Bonoy member registers for the Preferred Partnership Program in October 2024, then the Marriott Bonvoy member will receive the Aeroplan Status through the end of 2024, and for the remainder of 2025 in accordance with the Aeroplan Elite status program expiry dates. Thereafter, the Marriott Bonvoy member will retain their complimentary Aeroplan 25K Status with no re-registration required as long as the member maintains their eligible Marriott Bonvoy Titanium or Ambassador Elite status.

• What are the benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status?

• What are the benefits of Aeroplan 25K status?

• Does a customer have to be a member of both Marriott Bonvoy and Air Canada Aeroplan to participate?

  Yes. Customer can join Aeroplan here and Marriott Bonvoy here.

• How do members register for the Preferred Partnership Program?

  Marriott Bonvoy members who have Titanium or Ambassador Elite status can register here.

  1. On this page, members can sign in with their Marriott Bonvoy account number and password. Once logged into their Marriott Bonvoy account, they will be prompted to connect/log into their Aeroplan membership account to link the two accounts.
  2. Members must accept the Aeroplan Program Rules and the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules for their registration to be processed. Please note that the first and last name of both accounts must match for the registration to be processed.
  3. The updated status will be reflected in the member’s Aeroplan and Marriott Bonvoy membership accounts within 7 – 10 business days.

  Air Canada Members who have 50K, 75K, or Super Elite status can register here.

  2. Visit the partnership landing page located here.
  3. Follow the directions to request your Marriott Bonvoy Gold status.
  4. The updated status will be reflected in the member’s Marriott Bonvoy membership account within 7 – 10 business days for all successful status match registrations.

• Do members who receive Air Canada Aeroplan 25K status have the same benefits as other 25K members?

  Yes. New Aeroplan Elite 25K members will receive a welcome email inviting them to review their new benefits. A complete list of Aeroplan 25K benefits can be found here.

• Once a member has complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold status, can the member reach higher Elite status?

  Yes. However, members must meet the criteria, as defined in the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules, in order to receive higher Marriott Bonvoy Elite status.

• Once a member has complimentary Aeroplan 25K status, can the member reach a higher status?

  Yes. However members must meet the criteria, as defined in the Aeroplan Elite Status Terms and Conditions here.

• If I already have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status or higher and Aeroplan 25K status or higher, can I register for the Preferred Partnership Program?

  If you already have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status or Aeroplan 25K status, eligible members will be allowed to register for the Preferred Partnership Program. If you have Marriott Bonvoy Platinum and higher, or Aeroplan 35K and higher, registration for the Preferred Partnership Program is not available.
